We are sad to report the death of WPCS Life member Mrs Vivian Mash of the Walden Stud, Saffron Walden, Essex on the 23rd of January 2026 aged 97.
She bred a small, select number of Welsh Cobs specifically bred to perform across many fields.
Although she was unable to be involved in her horse breeding programme in her latter years, she still sent her small select band of mares up to Anglesey to The Pentaran Stud to be covered. She took a great interest in the activities of her homebreds.
A regular visitor to the Royal Welsh show, staying in a small touring caravan in the hills above Llanafan fawr was her highlight. Also in the past, she enjoyed many stud visits organised by Dai Davies of the Glanrannell Stud where she made lifelong friends.
She will be laid to rest on Thursday 19th of February at 12.15 at the Church of Our lady of the Assumption and the English Martyrs, Cambridge CB2 1JR
