WPCS Young Judges Competition

Details of the upcoming Welsh Pony & Cob Society Young Judges Competition 2026, to be held on Saturday 22^nd of August 2026, kindly hosted by Ceri Fell of the Brynseion Stud, Newent, Gloucester, GL18 1HJ.

The competition will commence at 11 am. Please can candidates arrive ahead of the start time for registration and a briefing before the competition gets underway.

At 11 am the competition will star with the practical assessment, where candidates will judge an in hand class of four Section C ponies.

Following the completion of the practical assessment, candidates will be called in a drawn order for interview with one of the two senior judges. The interviews will commence at approximately 11:30am and each interview slot will last for approximately 10 minutes, with interviews taking approximately five minutes.

After the completion of the interviews, there will be a short break whilst scores are collated, ahead of the presentation.

All competitors will be required for the presentation of the results, which will take place at approximately 2pm.

Following the presentation of prizes, there will be a barbecue lunch kindly provided by Ceri Fell which is open to all. The WPCS Young Ambassador Scott Woolley and Young Ambassador-elect Imogen Hargraves will be running entertainment for the young people too.
