WPCS Young Ambassador and Ambassador Elect for 2025 – 2026.

The Welsh Pony and Cob Society Trustees have great pleasure in announcing the appointment of the WPCS Young Ambassador and Ambassador Elect for 2025 – 2026.

Shannon Foley-Reed, from Ceredigion, will take over the reins from Charlotte Harris at the Society’s Annual General Meeting in April 2025.

“I am very honoured and pleased to be selected as the WPCS Young Ambassador for 2025/26. I was born in Manchester but moved 10 years ago to Ceredigion. My mother, sister and I have always been passionate about the Welsh breeds and recently established our own small stud, Brynlogin. The Welsh breeds have been a huge part of my life and being a part of the Society has helped me develop life-long friendships, incredible memories and some amazing achievements. I hope to give back to the Society during my term as Young Ambassador. My main aim is to gather the voices and opinions of the young members as we are the future of the Society. I am very excited to take on the role and look forward to working with the young members of the Society.”

Scott Woolley, from North Wales/Essex will be working alongside Shannon during her year as Young Ambassador, then taking over the reins at the Society’s Annual General Meeting in 2026.

“Hi I'm Scott Woolley, I'm lucky enough to be 2025/26 Young Ambassador Elect rolling into 2026/27 as the Young Ambassador. I hope that in the coming years we can put a real focus on the future of the Society which is of course the young people. Being from North Wales but now living in Essex, I move across the country a lot and I am happy to travel if any WPCS associations or shows would like me to attend their events to promote the young people. I look forward to working alongside Shannon for the 2025/26 period.”

We hope that you will join us in wishing both Shannon and Scott well in their new roles and the Society looks forward to working with them both during their terms of office.
