Dear members
I have taken the difficult decision to stand down as a Trustee of the WPCS.
It has been a great honour and privilege to have served on Council, as I complete my sixth year of my second term and 4th year as Chairman.
Whether you agree with my vision or not, I have always dedicated myself unselfishly to the best interests of the Society, its members and the Welsh Breeds.
The increased responsibilities of a high profile and demanding job, coupled with competing family commitments, means that I find myself in a position where I can no longer dedicate the time to mitigate the questionable conduct and actions of some of my fellow trustees and the damage caused by the persisting breaches of confidentiality, that not only undermine me as Chairman, but also plagues the decision making process and reputational damage to the Society.
I would particularly like to thank the Company Secretary, the staff, Presidents past and present and those Council members that have supported me along my journey.
I wish the Society longevity and every success moving forward.
Ed Gummery
