Many superb ponies, cobs and Part Breds flew the Welsh flag at Royal Windsor Horse Show in the King’s garden last week.
Drum roll please for a few special mentions…
Hoekehorst Example, Longhalves Regal Heir, Llanmorlais Reagan, and Senators Black Satin were the top representatives of sections A-D in the in-hand classes.
Section A Hoekehorst Example also won the Welsh sections A and B ridden class ridden by Alexandra Svenssson, and Sarah Parker won the Section D class on Llynhelyg Mister Jones. However, April Gilmartin’s Gems Malt Whiskey really is the gift that keeps on giving for her, winning the Welsh section C class and overall Mountain and Moorland ridden champion, qualifying for London International.
In the mountain and moorland workers, Poppy Rowlands was one of the smallest and youngest riders in the class but came out on top with her mother’s Delami Bravado.
Also topping their division - the 133cm - before standing reserve champion were Georgia Darlington and section C Glynceirch Endeavour.
Part bred pony Copybush Time Lord won two classes. He won the part-bred Arab class under 148cm and the show pony not exceeding 148cm classes, ridden in both by Chloe Salley. Chloe also piloted him to reserve champion in both sections!!
Thistledown Letizia and Charlotte Knight looked total cuties in the open first ridden and won before taking open mini first ridden.
Star of the show though, was Glyncoch Honeypot. Not content with one championship, this home-produced section A came home with two tricolours — the open and Pretty Polly (home-produced) mini mountain and moorland titles. She was lead by Simon Constable and ridden by his daughter Zara.
Congratulations to all breeders, owners, producers, riders and connections!
