Robert Howard of the Moorcroft stud

With a deep and broken heart, in the early hours of Monday morning 9th June at 1:02am, we lost our entire world. The strength, love and bravery he showed for many years right up until the end will live in us forever.

Robert dedicated most of his life to the Welsh breed; horses was all he ever knew. The love of horses started with trotting with his father, Arthur Howard when he was young and his passion grew on from there, from showing, judging to breeding. Robert loved all his ponies and cobs, however he had an extra special place in his heart for his boy Moorcroft the Master, one who he was extremely proud to breed with his wife Maz Howard, not only over the years of the Master doing him proud, achieving fantastic wins himself, it made Rob very proud each year seeing the foals born by Master and his off spring out showing.

As a family, we would like to thank all those for the kindness and outpouring of love at this heartbreaking time.

Robert’s funeral will be held on Thursday 26th June at 1:15pm at Chilterns Crematorium, Whielden Lane, Amersham HP7 0ND

To follow on after, we will be going to Fredricks Hotel and Spa, Shoppenhangers Road, Maidenhead SL6 2PZ to raise a glass in my Rob’s memory

Fredricks Hotel is 20 minutes from the crematorium. If anyone is travelling from far who would like to stay, there are rooms available.

All are welcome to come who wish to pay their respects.
