Harness Horse and Pony of the Year

The Harness Horse and Pony of the Year Championship today will see 50% of the class being representatives of the WPCS, with either Pure or Part Bred registered.

This morning will see history being made with three members of the same family competing in the Harness Horse and Pony of the Year Championship.

With a passion for driving that clearly runs in the family, Mother, Daughter and Son will all take to the Andrews Bowen International Arena to compete for the title.

All three ponies are Welsh Section Cs

Crossfield Reflection will be driven by Josie Randall, who qualified at the BDS Spring Bonanza at Pickering Grange.

Llafar Mr Bling will be driven by John Randall, who qualified at Royal Norfolk Show and Leyeswick Farvie’s Boy will be driven by Jane Randall, who qualified at Victoria Foods Championship Show at Bury Farm.

Leyeswick Stud might well be the first stud to have bred 3 qualifiers for the Harness Horse and Pony of the Year Championship, Leyeswick Farvie’s Boy will be joined by Leyeswick Dun n Dusted, driven by Carol Armstrong and Leyeswick the Real Deal, driven by Liz Edmonds.
