The Welsh Pony and Cob Society Rider, Handler & Driver of 2025

Do you own a Welsh Pony, Cob or Welsh Part Bred and do you compete?

If so why not take part to be crowned either WPCS Rider, Handler of Driver of the year for 2025.

​

Its easy to take part just purchase you chosen competition below at £5 each. You will then be sent an email with a link to download your points card. Record each show you attend either affiliated or un affiliated on this card and make sure to get it signed by the Show Secretary or indicate where this can be verified. Submit your points card by the 31st October. Each section has prize categories for junior 16 or under and senior 17 and over

 

There will also be a special rosette for the highest placed Non-UK based rider.

Conditions of Entry

• Points can be collected from the 1st March to 30th September.

 

• Professional producers or those who are remunerated for their service when riding for others are to compete.

 

• All animals ridden by the rider must be Welsh or Welsh Part bred and registered with the WPCS or a daughter society.

 

• All entries must be signed by the Show/Event Secretary and spot checks will be completed to verify the results.

 

• Points can be gained at both affiliated and unaffiliated shows/events in any ridden discipline.

 

• Points cards must be submitted to the WPCS office Bronaeron, Felinfach, Lampeter, Ceredigion, SA48 8AG by no later than the 31st October of that year.

 

• Points cards must be submitted along with the entry fee of £5 payable by the society website.

 

• The top three in each category for the Junior and Senior  will be announced and invited to attend the WPCS Awards celebration where the placings will be announced.

 

• Points allocation

1st    6 points   2nd   4 Points   3rd    2 Points   4th    1 Point

Champion 10 Points               Reserve Champion 6 Points

You must be a WPCS Member to take part in the scheme.

The decision of the WPCS is final on the eligibility of any competitor or results.
