WELSH PONY & COB JUNIOR GELDING INCENTIVE SCHEMES

 The SARUM STUD Gelding Rosettes

​

The award is to encourage the showing of junior geldings 3 years and under in-hand, therefore expanding the market for the colt foal and enabling the creation of a network of potential performance prospects to represent the best Native breed in the World at the highest level.

​

The Gelding Champion and Reserve Champion Rosettes are generously sponsored by SARUM STUD. To be competed for by the highest placed geldings from each appropriate class within Sections A, B, C, D & WPBR.

​

Owners of junior geldings do not need to be members of the WPCS in order to compete.

​

The competition runs from 1st January to 30th September annually.

​

Results from the top fifteen shows will be included for each gelding, with a maximum of three classes per show.

​

There is no need to request points card for any Junior gelding competing within Welsh in hand classes at an affiliated show. These points will be automatically collated by the WPCS Office (subject to receiving the results from the show)

​

Points are allocated as follows:

​

At shows affiliated to the WPCS

​

1st – 8 points          2nd – 6 points          3rd – 4 points                     4th – 2 points

​

Extra points will be awarded for –

Receiving a Champion Gelding rosette - 10 points

Receiving a Reserve Champion Gelding rosette - 6 points
