The Studs Directory is an important part of the
WPCS site, enabling all breeders to advertise within the site. By listing in
this online Directory, you advertise your stud worldwide. It is estimated that
1,200 million people (updated 30.09.2007 by
Internet World Stats) now have access to the Internet, including more than
60% of the UK population. This site is proving to be extremely successful,
with hundreds of thousands of hits per month from all over the world.
The Welsh
Pony and Cob Enthusiasts' Websites, also provides further
access points for visitors to the stud websites.
There is no need for you to have access to the
Internet to take advantage of this wonderful marketing opportunity,
in fact you don't even need to own a computer. On the
other hand, if you are a member and have a website, a link from the Welsh Pony and Cob
Society Directory will increase the number of visitors to your site.
How the Directory Works
The first page of the Directory offers a selection
of choices for exploring the Directory:

listing of the studs together with contact details and a
brief description of the Stud and of course a link to the

and location. This selection generates a page, listing all the
studs meeting the chosen criteria. For example, if someone is looking for
Section A breeders in South Wales, the search facility will provide a list of

Members may apply to the office to have their website listed in the Studs Directory.
There are certain standards required for your website to be
listed including prominent links back to this website from
every page of your website, and your application will be
rejected if your website has pop-up or external banner
advert.
