Off to Olympia

Nine year old Georgina Veale has been riding her pony Colliyers Eclipse side saddle for a year now. Colliyers Eclipse is by Cascob Microlite out of Wrenmeads Merchad Mia and is bred by Mr and Mrs Clarke of Norfolk. He is 17 years old.

They have had a fantastic year together attending the National Side Saddle Championships at Addington in August. She won five classes including the Junior Concours d'Elegance, the Mountain and Moorland Small Breeds, Junior Rider, Pairs and the Pre Veteran. She has also had very good placings in Side Saddle classes over the year competing against adults.

Two weeks ago she attended the Veteran Horse Society's regional finals at Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. She won the Pre Veteran class riding side saddle and then competed against five other winners in the championship. She won this and Colliyers Eclipse and Georgina are now off to Olympia at Christmas for the Veteran Finals. She will be doing this side saddle and as you can imagine, we are incredibly proud of her and feel this is quite some achievement for a 9 year old.

Colliyers Eclipse has also had a very good year being ridden astride in Section A classes and first ridden. He is also hunted side saddle, attends pony club and has competed in various school team competitions including Trot Pole which he has won.

They will be competing in the Welsh Pony and Cob Society Performance Awards. Colliyers Eclipse was 2^nd Section A's last year.
