Candidates will be required to apply in writing to the Society’s Office for the appropriate form. Applicants will only be considered on completion of the official application form.
Applicants to be 21 years of age or over at the time of application.
Applicants must have been members of the Society for the past 7 consecutive years and on the
In Hand Panel of Judges.
[Applicants must be members in their own right. Although joint membership is no longer accepted some of those applicants who have been members for many years may be joint members with husbands, wives, brothers, etc. Should the applicants be successful and be accepted on to the Panel of Judges they will be required to become a member in their own right.]
The fee shall be £50 inclusive of V.A.T.
Applications will be accepted on a first come first served basis depending on capacity of the venue selected. Should there be 12 or less applications forward, the Assessment will be cancelled.
Closing date for applications to be 30th June, annually in the year of the Assessment.
Prior to judging the animals, Candidates will be allocated a separate room and will be required to answer set questions regarding Rules for Showing.
Eight animals to be assessed comprising Sections A, B, C and D (where possible 2 of each Section).
Animals to be shown as per show procedure (to be judged as a Championship class).
Candidates will be supplied with the appropriate judging card to mark their placings, the cards would be collected on completion of the judging.
All candidates leave the judging arena and will be interviewed individually.
The Assessors will decide whether or not candidates are successful and candidates will be informed of the results, in writing, as soon as possible thereafter.
Members on the Panel of Judges must attend a Conference every three years, if not that member will be deleted from the Panel of Judges, and will have to re-apply to be re-instated onto the Panel of Judges.
