Welsh Pony and Cob Performance Show The weather was not too kind on 11th and 12th September for the Welsh Pony and Cob Performance Show held at Felin Newydd, Llandefalle, Brecon (now the home of Mr & Mrs Richard Evans-Bevan and Mr Huw Evans-Bevan) but it did not dampen the enthusiasm of the competitors (including Timo, Johanna and Elina Blom from Finland with their section B gelding Casnewydd Showman) and a very happy time was had by all. Having been reserve supreme on 22 points with her section C mare Hardys Ribbon last year, Clair Tomlinson brought her from West Yorkshire again and went supreme on 29.5 points with 1st placings in working hunter, horse trials and dressage, 2nd in hunter trials, 4th ridden and 6th for show jumping. After all this, Ribbon was harnessed up and won a 2nd for ride and drive! Another exhibitor, Emily Church from Caerphilly, who has had consistent successes here on her part-bred pony Sannanvalley Jester was reserve supreme on 25.5 points having narrowly beaten Lucia Roberts (who also lives at Caerphilly) on 24.5 points riding Gibbo Flash.
