Pentrecoed Danny Boy

We have just lost our beloved Pentrecoed Danny Boy (by Nebo Daniel x Aberconwy Angharad) a fully registered Welsh Section D gelding. He gave so much pleasure and during his showing years was a regular In - Hand entrant at all County Shows and the Royal Welsh.

As a foal he won Pony of the Year at the NCPA. Once gelded he went on to become a fabulous family horse with the kindest heart and would try anything asked of him.

He died of a heart attack on New Year's day, aged 16, when the local hunt passed his field and he got over excited (he loved hunting) and basically ran himself down to a collapse. For the last 3 years he has been living in his native Wales, out on loan due to my physical disability that means I can no longer look after horses. He had a splendid home in Bridgend with Ms S. O'Reilly and family who, like us, are totally heartbroken.

DannyBoy deserves acknowledging as he was a perfect example of a Welsh Section D, the all round good cob who would enter a lion's den if asked. His kindness was remarked on by everyone who met him.

He was bred by the late David & Ruth Wilson of Pentrecoed.
