Please note that there is an error in the schedule for the Cheshire County Show 2006 regarding young handlers of Welsh Ponies & Cobs. The schedule states that ‘All handlers under 18 years of age to show mares or geldings only’ however, according to the Society rules, handlers from the age of 14 are permitted to show colts and stallions over the age of two.

The Rules and Guidelines for WPCS In-Hand and Under Saddle Showing states that -

In the interest of safety all stallions and colts, two years old or over must be suitably bitted and led by a handler that has attained their 14^th birthday before January 1^st of the current year.’

As a result, young handlers who have attained their 14^th birthday prior to 1^st January 2006 will be permitted to show stallions and colts over two years of age at the Cheshire County Show 2006. A correction will be printed in the show catalogue.
