In this weeks episode of Cefn Gwlad, presenter Dai Jones, Llanilar visits the Dolwen area, near Abergele, to find out more about one of the best-known studs in the Welsh Mountain Pony world – the Coed Coch Stud. Dai Jones gets the history of the Coed Coch Stud by two men who worked with the ponies, Wyn Jones and John Jones. Dai hears of Wyn's close family connections with the stud; as his father and grandfather before him were leading figures in its history and worked closely with the owner, Miss Brodrick. Dai also meets John Jones, and he recounts various stories of his time working at Coed Coch until it closed in 1978. Cefn Gwlad
