in the Credit Crunch

Promote your Stud, Stud Book and Breeding Industry Services through the lead body for the sector in the UK

In 2008 the first two issues of The British Breeder and the stallion parades organized by the Lead Body for British Performance Sport Horses and Ponies (PSHP) at Moulton College and Burghley Horse Trials as part of its initial launch proved extremely popular with all sectors of the industry. Now, as we move into the depths of the credit crunch, when stallion owners, studs, single mare owners, vets, semen agents, AI technicians and every other part of the industry are wondering how it will affect them, the PSHP has taken positive action to help the industry by developing a number of attractive advertising and promotional packages that will help keep everyone reduce their costs and meet the needs of the market more effectively than ever before.

PROMOTIONAL PACKAGES

The PSHP will be holding three stallion parades in the spring of 2009 as follows:

Saturday 14 February at Hartpury College, Hartpury, Gloucs (evening gala event for dressage stallions and young stallions from the West Country)

Saturday 14 March at Arena UK, Nr Grantham, Lincs (daytime parade for eventing and showjumping stallions and young stallions from East Anglia and the Midlands)

Sunday 12 April at Myerscough College, Preston, Lancs (daytime parade for stallions from all disciplines)

and each of these parades (rules and entry forms for which are attached) will have a catalogue featuring the bloodlines, grading details and contact information of each of the stallions taking part. It will be given to each member of the audience and is therefore an ideal medium in which to advertise, not only to remind the audience what they have seen but also to reach a wider market once the catalogues are passed on to friends to look at as they almost certainly will be. Because Issue no 3 of The British Breeder is also due out at the time of the Arena UK stallion parade, the PSHP and The British Breeder are together able to offer a superb range of packages to cover all pockets as follows:

BOOKING FORM

Note for stallion advertisers: The British Breeder and the PSHP actively encourages the use of graded stallions, particularly those based in the UK and those available from abroad with top class bloodlines and performance. The magazine therefore accepts adverts for fully graded stallions standing in the UK and/or abroad whose progeny are eligible for registration with a UK studbook or daughter studbook. Adverts for stallions standing in the UK who are not currently graded with a UK studbook or daughter studbook are only accepted when these are part of a larger advert that also includes UK-graded stallions.
