Your Pony Featured

If you'd like to see your Welsh pony or cob featured as Pony of the Week, please email the webmaster the following information:

• Pony's stud book section (A, B, C, D or Part-bred)
• Owner (optional)
• Registered name and number
• Sire's registered name and number
• Dam's registered name and number
• Dam's registered name and number
• Height (in hands and inches, or centimetres)
• Any other information you think would be of interest to readers: year of birth, show or performance record, progeny, etc. (100 words maximum please) (optional)
• A good photograph (see Note 2 below) as an attachment
• A copyright statement (see Note 1 below)

Note 1: We must have permission to use the photo. If you took the photo yourself, then you own the copyright and there is no problem. If someone else took the photo, you must obtain permission from them. Either way, you must include the following statement:

"I confirm that all information I have given is true to the best of my belief and knowledge. I confirm that I own the copyright to the attached photograph or that I have obtained permission from the owner. I indemnify the Welsh Pony and Cob Society and Eqwebs Ltd. from any liability in respect of any claim arising out of infringement of copyright. [Your Name]"

Tip: use copy-and-paste to transfer this statement to your email program (on a PC: select the statement using your mouse, then copy using Ctrl-C; now move to your email message and paste it in using Ctrl-V).

Note 2: Photos will be cropped/resized to 400 pixels wide by 300 pixels high (landscape), showing the pony as large as possible. If your photo is bigger we can shrink it, but enlarging smaller images is usually unsatisfactory. We can use almost any image format, but we prefer "millions of colours" (TIFF, JPEG) to 256 colours (GIF, BMP) so we can do any necessary contrast and colour correction. Check the size of your file! If it is very large, please compress it (using WinZip etc) to under 500 kilobytes.
