PROMOTIONS COMMITTEE
Purpose: To
publicise and communicate the merits and
attributes of Welsh Ponies and Cobs and their Part-Breds by
all means possible.
Responsible for:

Ensuring contacts are maintained with
the media and opportunities to promote the Welsh breeds
are maximised.

Agreeing the strategy for the
exhibition unit and recommending to Council on an annual
basis a list of shows/exhibitions/equine events that the
unit should attend

Purchasing suitable promotional items
that should be stocked on the exhibition unit to promote
the Society

Books and publications
-
Sponsorship
-
Developing a communications strategy
Membership:
-
Promotions Committee shall consist of 3
members of Council elected by Council from amongst their
number at the first Council Meeting after an AGM
-
Subject matter expert advisors
may be co-opted as required for advice on specific
subjects for a period of one year subject to the approval
of Council, prior to being invited. However they may
not vote.

A quorum shall be 2 with voting powers
Attendance at Meetings
-
Journal Editor is invited to attend
with no voting powers
Frequency of Meetings
-
The Promotions Committee will meet a
minimum of once a year.

Council may in addition ask the
Committee to meet to consider specific proposals
